Next we have the birth of a child. We have the footprints of the child, and then we have the twelve candles, with the names of the twelve tribes. This child is being introduced into a community, a world people. And on top we have a sort of Sephardic hand, and in it the blessing that one gives the child. "May the child grow up for Torah, which is moral wisdom, chupah, which is the sanctity of marriage, ma-ah-sim tovim, the practice of good deeds."
