Adolph Hitler was the originator of the Big Lie Theory,
which states that people will more readily fall victims to the big lie than the small lie.
His big lie was that the Jews were the cause of the world’s problems.
His simple solution was to eliminate the Jewish race.
He went on a mission of genocide, unequaled in human history.
Today we are faced with another big lie from the Holocaust Deniers,
who want to convince the world that the Holocaust never took place.
They are gaining ground because the memory of the event is fading,
particularly among the younger generations.
Those of us who were alive at the time will never forget,
but our children and grandchildren may not understand why we must remember.
We need to reaffirm our pledge, Never Again.
Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
We must not allow the world to forget about the six million of our fellow Jews
who were senselessly slaughtered in the Holocaust.
They were our brothers and sisters.
Take home a Yellow Candle and light it on May 4th,
the eve of Yom Hashoah.
