Hazak

This dynamic program is designed to meet the social and intellectual needs and interests of men and women age 55+. The program is the proud recipient of a First Place Award in the Special Groups Category from Pacific Southwest Region of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism.

Twice-monthly "HAZAK Mondays" offer members a place to socialize and attend classes, lectures, and discussion groups taught by prominent VBS members and members of the Los Angeles and world-wide communities. Subjects include literature, opera, art, history, Judaism, and many, many more. After the lunch break, classes continue with Mah Jongg lessons and play, "Great Decisions" discussions, "Torah Portion With Our Rabbis," and other activities and interests.

A highlight of each day is a different Keynote Speaker who explores a timely topic of significant interest. HAZAK Mondays are structured to enable you to choose all or any part of the program between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., without the need to register for individual classes.
