Etz Chaim Learning Center

Welcome to the VBS ECLC

Valley Beth Shalom’s Etz Chaim Learning Center (ECLC) has one primary goal: teaching our students to "be Jewish."  We provide supplemental, innovative and project-based learning opportunities for students in grades K-7 to develop their spiritual core and strengthen their Jewish identity. We are proud to offer a variety of programs, including technology, performing arts and fine arts academies for grades 4-6, that meet the growing and dynamic needs of our students and families.

Classes meet Sundays 9:30am to 11:45am and Tuesdays 4:00pm to 6:15pm. We invite you to visit our school and learn more about the ECLC!

Students in Grades 4-6 enroll in one of our academies: Fine Arts, Technology, Performing Arts or Beit Midrash.

Admissions and re-enrollment opens in the spring each year.  We encourage all parents to join us for “Back to School” in the fall.

Mission Statement:
The VBS Etz Chaim Learning Center is committed to a vision of “doing Judaism” in a warm, welcoming community led by inspiring and creative teachers.  We provide positive experiences in Torah, holidays, Hebrew, Israel, Tikkun Olam, and prayer in order to cultivate passionate, life-long learners. We root our students’ Jewish identities at VBS, providing them with a foundation for connecting to the Jewish community and the world at large.

To schedule a visit or for more information, please contact Emily Arzio-Rivera at (818) 530-4043.
