Adult B'nai Mitzvah Program
Adult B'nai Mitzvah Program
Do you remember your Bar or Bat Mitzvah and the prayers and Torah text you learned? Perhaps you are now ready to learn it anew. Perhaps something is stirring inside of you and you would like to renew your connection to the prayers and Torah. Perhaps you never had a Bar/Bat Mitzvah as a youth and would like to this year?
Our Adult B’nai Mitzvah course prepares adults to comfortably access the texts and prayers of our tradition. This eight month course prepares the student to read from the prayer book (siddur), to chant from the Torah and to recite Haftarah. This course culminates in a Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony held each year on the Shabbat during Passover. The course generally meets once a week and is led by our ritual director, Yossi Dresner. You have the choice of attending an evening or morning class.
The next course will start in September 10, 2019.
For more information and to enroll, please contact Yossi Dresner at (818) 530-4012.
