High Holiday Teen Programming

Grades 7-12

This year’s theme is Aleinu—it is up to us. We want our teens to understand that it is our collective responsibility to care for those in our community who need us most.

This year, our teens have the opportunity to participate in High Holiday service designed specifically for them, here at VBS. With the focus being on experiential learning, the VBS Teen High Holiday service will include spiritual reflection, social connection and an opportunity to participate in a hands-on Chesed service project.

We are thrilled to partner with Cafe Europa to create Shabbat Boxes for local Holocaust survivors, which will be delivered in time for the first Shabbat of the Jewish calendar year! We are asking each teen to bring an item(s) for donation with them to help build these boxes. A full list of the requested donation items will be sent to you in your confirmation email once you RSVP.

Together, we will honor our tradition, uplift our community, and show our teens that Jewish values come alive through action.
