Sunday, September 27  -Kol Nidre (evening)

  • Kol Nidre Main Service at 6:30pm on watch.vbs.org (Sermon at approximately 7:30pm)
  • Kol Nidre Traditional Service at 6:30pm on watch.vbs.org

Monday, September 28 - Yom Kippur

  • Traditional Service at 8:00am on watch.vbs.org
  • Tot Shofar Service (preschool families) at 9:00am on watch.vbs.org
  • B'Yachad Family Service (elementary school age families) at 10:00am on watch.vbs.org
  • Main Service at 10:00am on watch.vbs.org. *Join in early to stroll through our virtual "lobby"
  • Sermon and Yizkor at approximately 11:30am (Sermon and Yizkor are part of the Main Service broadcast)

Service Options

The Main Service: Live from Niznick Sanctuary

Officiated by our rabbis and cantors, the Main Service is approximately two hours and will feature your favorite High Holiday music and prayers, and inspiring and thought-provoking sermons by our VBS rabbis. Join us live at 10:00am on Rosh Hashanah Day One and Day Two, at 6:30pm for Kol Nidre and at 10:00am on Yom Kippur. Sermon and Yizkor will be at approximately 11:30am on Yom Kippur.

Two Family Services: Tot Shofar and B'Yachad

  • Tot Shofar service, a 40-minute service for families with ECC-age children airing at 9:00am on Rosh Hashanah Day One, Rosh Hashanah Day Two and Yom Kippur
  • B'Yachad service, a 90-minute service for families with elementary school-age children airing at 10:00am on Rosh Hashanah Day One, Rosh Hashanah Day Two and Yom Kippur

Traditional Service

A traditional service led by members of our Playground minyan davening the traditional liturgy will begin at 8:00am on Rosh Hashanah Day One, Day Two and Yom Kippur, at 6:30pm on Kol Nidre and at 6:00pm for Yom Kippur mincha and neilah. The service will last approximately 3 hours, then we invite everyone to join the main service. On Yom Kippur we invite everyone to join the main service for the sermon and Yizkor at approximately 11:30am.
