Knitting Needles/Myra's Knitting Mavens
Knitting Needles/Myra's Knitting Mavens
Join VBS Sisterhood and VBS Chesed Connection on the second Wednesday of every month to knit, crochet and kibbitz for a good cause - sending handmade caps to IDF soldiers in Israel and to veterans through Operation Gratitude, as well as baby blankets to newborns and cancer patients in local and Israeli hospitals. Renamed in honor of beloved member Myra Shapiro, this group formerly known as "Knitting Needles" is now called "Myra's Knitting Mavens" in Myra's memory.
What: Join our group of committed VBS members who knit and crochet caps for cancer patients in local hospitals, blankets for newborn babies and knit hats for the IDF. Projects vary depending on the season.
Where: At Valley Beth Shalom
Volunteer Group: No age requirements.
Yarn and instruction available at no charge!
