Parent Association

The most vital part of our dynamic community is YOU, our multi-tasking parents who juggle work and family life with intention and dedication.

We are deeply grateful for the role ALL our parents play at the ECC. 

The ECC Parent Association acts as a liaison between the parents and school. Parent volunteers provide support for many of our activities. Everyone is encouraged to attend monthly meetings and become involved. Volunteers work to provide support for our many activities.  Everyone is encouraged to attend the monthly meetings and become involved. 

The ECC Parent Association helps plan and implement many special events throughout the year. Here are some of our core events:

Shabbat Dinners
The parent association sponsors a monthly pot luck dinner to celebrate Shabbat as a community. A short service is led by the Rabbi, and our song leader, Cindy Aboody, leads us in Shabbat songs. Delicious food is shared. Families come together as we embrace the warmth and beauty of Shabbat.

Harvest Festival
A fall festival that helps celebrate the Jewish holiday of Sukkot. Children are treated to fall fun including a petting zoo, corn shucking, leaf stomping and many more exciting activities.

Winter Festival
Every season is celebrated at the ECC, even winter in sunny Southern California! The Parent Association brings the sights, sounds and tastes of winter to this family celebration.

Book Fair
Each year, a book fair is held and the proceeds benefit the ECC.

Social Action
The Jewish value of giving is brought into the classroom as an ongoing part of the curriculum. The children will participate in recycling, feeding the hungry, art projects for ill children, and decorating tzedakah boxes. The collective efforts culminate in a day of learning and doing for all ECC families.
