Shabbat For All
Shabbat For All
Help Valley Beth Shalom show we care through these hard times. Jewish seniors and families continue to face distress, both emotionally and financially.
In the spring of 2021, while our local community experienced unprecedented hardships due to the pandemic crisis, the VBS Executive Committee sponsored Passover seder meals for families who could use the extra help. With an outpouring of gratitude, these efforts were extended to offer further support by providing Shabbat dinner meals to those in need. Our gracious Chesed community of caring now works to provide meal assistance to individuals and families.
- Sponsor 1 child's entree – $10
- Sponsor 2 adults' entrees – $36
- Sponsor a dinner for a family of 4 (with challah and dessert)! – $72

Who We Serve
Your donation supports our mission of spreading loving-kindness. We primarily serve Jewish individuals affiliated with VBS who would most benefit from Kosher meals. We also recognize that the VBS community extends beyond our congregants-- maintenance staff, school and temple staff, security guards, and others who may not necessarily need a Kosher meal from our catering. For non-Jewish community members, Shabbat for All sources non-Kosher meals from local restaurants.
When you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap all the way to the edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. You shall not pick your vineyard bare or gather the fallen fruit of your vineyard; you shall leave them for the poor and the stranger; I am Adonai your God.(Leviticus 19:9-10)
