Heal the Bay
Help clean the beach while learning about marine ecology

Cleaning our 'adopted' Santa Monica Beach and learning about the marine environment is enjoyable when working side-by-side with other VBS congregants! Wonderful project for young families as well! All of our Beach clean-up dates have been so well attended!

Love animals? Many volunteer opportunities are available to help these abandoned dogs and cats, from dog walking to feeding them. Or, become a Pet Socializer as our volunteer in this photo has! Some VBS volunteers help out at Pet Orphans on a weekly basis; others monthly.

Ride On
Assist disabled people with therapy utilizing horses; care for horses
When: Afternoons, Weekends
Where: Chatsworth
Volunteer Group: Ages 14+
Ride On is an equestrian assisted therapy program that helps youth with special needs through interaction with a horse. VBS volunteers can lead horses being ridden by disabled young adults, as well as groom and tack horses.
