Steve Pearlman
Steve Pearlman
Creative Consultant
Steve Pearlman joins VBS as a Creative Consultant after a long career in the entertainment industry as both an executive producer and studio executive. For more than 20 years, Steve has overseen and directed television productions in locations around the globe, including the acclaimed Disney/ABC series Once Upon a Time. He entered the producing world after a successful tenure as a senior creative executive at Warner Bros. Television, where he worked his way up from Research intern to head of Drama, Comedy and nonscripted program development.
Steve and his wife Debby are long-time VBS congregants. Their two sons, Brian and Evan, attended ECC and ECLC, and both celebrated their Bar Mitzvahs at VBS. Steve served in lay leadership at VBS as head of the ECLC Parent Committee from 2010-2013. During the COVID pandemic, he led the production of VBS’s livestream High Holiday services. His volunteer work expanded in 2023 with the filming of the Halleluyah music video, and again with the addition of LED screens in Niznick Sanctuary, for which he has produced a wide range of media content for musical productions and special programs.
In his role as Creative Consultant, Steve will continue to write, direct and produce content for VBS, including live programs, digital series and other social media projects.
