Covenanting Ceremonies
Covenanting Ceremonies
A new way to approach belonging to a synagogue.
We believe membership must mean more than signing on a dotted line and handing over a check. There is a basic human need to belong to something greater than oneself and that need is met in community. After you join VBS, we invite you to share with us the blessings of community and belonging.
When you meet us for your Covenanting Ceremony on a Sunday morning, you will be introduced to a VBS rabbi and members of the synagogue staff and lay leadership. You will be formally welcomed into the VBS community through a special tour and ceremony. We will share together what Valley Beth Shalom means to us and what it can mean to you. It is truly a special morning for our members and we encourage all new families at VBS to participate.
For more information, please contact Maya Aharon, Director of Membership Engagement, at (818) 530-4008 or maharon@vbs.org.
