COVID-19 Resources & Safety
A Covenant of Shared Responsibility
Valley Beth Shalom holds the health and safety of our community as our greatest priority. We all must continue do our part to ensure the collective wellness of our community. Please follow the three scientific principles proven to reduce the spread of disease: physical distancing, wearing a face covering and frequent hand-washing.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS
Mask Requirement
In alignment with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's latest guidelines, masks are encouraged and strongly recommended, but not required, to be worn while at VBS. Surgical or N95/KN95 are strongly encouraged over cloth masks.
Additionally, if you or a household member is not feeling well or has any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our virtual service and programming options. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our community healthy and safe.
Proof of Vaccination
As of May 6, 2022, the VBS Executive Committee has approved two changes to the VBS Synagogue Adult Vaccination Policy.
- Masks are recommended but not required.
- The vaccine policy will allow for unvaccinated guests to attend VBS programs and services with a negative same-day rapid antigen-test or a negative PCR test within 48 hours. Unvaccinated individuals must take a photo of their same day test with a date and time stamp to show security.
