Does Membership Include High Holiday Tickets?
Yes! We plan to offer both in-person and virtual High Holiday services this year. General Membership include(s) one (single membership) or two (family membership) general admission tickets to High Holiday Services, as well as access to our virtual platforms. As last year, we have moved to an ‘open seating’ model.
Additional unreserved seats are available for purchase. VBS Premier* & Premier Plus Members include(s) one (single membership) or two (family membership) reserved seating tickets in the main sanctuary, as well as access to our virtual platforms.
*The funds received from the VBS Premier Program are allocated to dues assistance, ensuring that no member (or potential member) is turned away from joining our VBS family. For more information regarding the Premier program, please read on below or visit vbs.org/premier.
What Are My Payment Options?
We offer pay-in-full or monthly payment options. Monthly plans must be secured with an ACH (e-check) account, debit or credit card.
- ACH (e-check): No processing fees; can be used to pay in full, or in installments. Click here for instructions explaining how to add ACH/e-check to your VBS Account.
- Check: No processing fees. We do not accept post-dated checks.
- Credit Card: A 3.25% processing fee will be assessed for all credit card charges. We are unable to waive credit card processing fees. To eliminate this fee, select ACH/e-check as your payment option.
- Donor Advised Fund (DAF): No processing fees; pay in full only.
If you need assistance with your payment method, please contact the VBS accounting Office at 818-788-6000.
Do You Offer Special Dues?
We are committed to not losing members due to financial need. Whatever your circumstances, you belong with us.
If you are applying for need-based dues assistance, click here to complete the online application. Important: you do NOT need to complete the membership renewal form until you receive your awards letter.
What is the VBS Premier Program?
Your generosity sustains our community and ensures our ability to provide synagogue membership and Jewish education to everyone who wants to be part of the VBS family. To learn more about VBS Premier Membership and its benefits, please visit www.vbs.org/premier.
Construction Update
Due to construction, Niznick Sanctuary and Glaser Hall will not be available for High Holidays this year. However, all High Holiday services will take place in alternative locations on the VBS campus.
All High Holiday seating is unreserved on a first-come-first-served basis, with the exception of Premier Membership (accommodations will be made for those with disabilities). You can purchase additional tickets at the time of membership renewal, or at any point leading up to the High Holidays.
Click here to read the dedicated construction update communication in its entirety.
When Must I Commit By? Are There Early Bird Incentives?
As an incentive to register “early”, all membership commitments made by July 14, 2023 will receive a coupon for $50 OFF your next LA Kosher Catering order (minimum order of $100). LA Kosher Catering, a department of Valley Beth Shalom, offers extensive menu options at reduced pricing for all VBS members.
We will continue to be here for you and your family. We deeply appreciate your ongoing support of VBS. Your membership matters, now, as much as ever! We hope you are staying safe and healthy.
