Attending High Holiday Services On Site

The health and safety of our community is our greatest priority as we welcome congregants age 12 and up to attend High Holiday services on site.

HEALTH PROTOCOLS

Mask Requirement

In alignment with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health's latest guidelines, masks are required to be worn at all times while at VBS. In addition, if you or a household member is not feeling well or has any COVID-19 symptoms, please stay home and enjoy our virtual service options. Thank you for your partnership in keeping our community healthy and safe.

Proof of Vaccination

Proof of vaccination is required to attend High Holiday services on site. For those who cannot provide proof of vaccination, all VBS members are welcome to join our virtual services. Read more here >

By submitting your proof of vaccination ahead of time, your entry ticket will be designated with a Fast Pass to move quickly through check in at the door.

SECURITY, TICKETS & SEATING

To enter VBS, every ticket holder will be required to present a ticket along with a matching photo ID, and then pass through metal detectors. In addition, all bags, including purses, diaper bags, strollers and tallit bags will be checked. Please avoid bringing oversized bags or backpacks as this may delay your entrance time.

Please keep your ticket with you at all times; no adults will be admitted through VBS security without a ticket and ID. If you arrive without a ticket, proceed to our Will Call Booth located at the driveway of the first house just north of the entrance gate. If you need to exit and re-enter, you will need to go through all security procedures once again.

Except for seats designated in the Main Sanctuary Service for Premier Members, all seats are open/unreserved.

Parking and Rideshare Alternatives

SINDER PARKING LOT

Between Densmore and Gloria, south of Moorpark: Parking is available in the main VBS parking lot. Tandem parking is necessary to accommodate the maximum number of vehicles. If you park behind another car in a tandem space, you MUST leave your keys in your car. Second Service attendees will not be permitted to park until all the cars from First Service have left.

VALET PARKING

We are pleased to provide complimentary valet parking for Premier members and drivers with valid, state-issued disabled parking placards.

To Drop Off: Pull your car onto Densmore Ave just south of the Security Booth on the east side of the street.

For Pick Up: Proceed to the southwest corner of Moorpark and Densmore Ave to give your ticket to the valet driver.

Signs will be posted for valet drop off and pick up areas. Please note that valet pick up may take additional time after services. Thank you for your patience. Please note: there is no valet parking on Erev Rosh Hashanah or the second day of Rosh Hashanah.

STREET PARKING

Certain street parking restrictions are "relaxed" in the neighborhood during Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur on the following streets: 4300 to 5000 blocks of Densmore Avenue; 4600 to 5000 blocks of Gloria Avenue; and 15800 block of Moorpark Street. Meters, Tow Zones, Hydrants and other safety violations will be enforced. Please do not block our neighbors' driveways.

OVERFLOW PARKING

On the first day of Rosh Hashanah, on Kol Nidre and on Yom Kippur day, a limited amount of validated parking will be available at the Encino Terrace Building located between Gloria and Densmore, north of Ventura. Take the parking ticket from that building and have it stamped at the Usher Table in the main hallway.

RIDESHARE ALTERNATIVES

With limited parking options at VBS, ride sharing is a great alternative to driving. And you get dropped off and picked up right in front of the security entrance! We urge you to carpool or ride with others to VBS. We've partnered with LYFT car services to offer special promo codes for travel to or from VBS on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur!

LYFT CODES: $5 discount to first 100 ride requests. During Rosh Hashanah, use promo code: VBSRH2021. During Yom Kippur, use promo code:  VBSYK2021.

Don't have a smartphone? Check out Go Go Grandparent , an affordable transportation concierge that works with Uber and Lyft to give you rides. Call 855-464-6872, mention Valley Beth Shalom and receive a $5 discount on rides to or from VBS.
