Our Leadership
David Polinsky
Chair, Homelessness Task Force
Born and raised on a 750-acre farm in Eastern Connecticut, David joined VBS in 1999, with his wife Stacy, and then 4-year old son, Sammy, and 2-year old son, Jake. David, who has spent the past 35 years practicing law in Los Angeles, is currently working for the Office of General Counsel, for the State of California Department of Water Resources. But for the past 8 years, since joining the VBS Homelessness Task Force, one of his passions has been to work with other VBS members, political leaders, and secular/eccumenical coalition partners, to learn about homelessness and its cause; to educate others about how it can be addressed; and to advocate for affirmative structural policy reformation, regarding permanent, supportive and affordable housing for our at-risk homeless neighbors.
