Annual Volunteer Events
Learn more about our annual volunteer events:
Project Pushcart
During the High Holiday season, VBS Chesed Connection facilitates "Project Pushcart" in efforts to lend support to those in need. Our annual Project Pushcart initiatives care for our greater community by feeding the hungry, helping people in need through donations and collection drives, and offering volunteer support as well as blood drive donations.

Mitzvah Day
Repairing our world, one mitzvah at a time! VBS joins together with our schools and families to share in acts of chesed (loving kindness) across our community. Committed to serving those in need, Mitzvah Day provides opportunities to give back to our community through meaningful initiatives. The work we accomplish together makes real differences in the lives of many.

Homeless Count
Together with nonprofit and faith partners, the VBS Homelessness Task Force participates in a yearly Homeless Count to seek public policy solutions to our city's homelessness crisis. Our team has advocated successfully for city and county measures to build more permanent supportive and affordable housing.
Jewish World Watch Walk to End Genocide
Founded by esteemed VBS Rabbi Harold M. Schulweis [z"l], the Jewish World Watch (JWW) organization is a hands-on leader in the fight against genocide and mass atrocities. Each spring, VBS participates in the Annual JWW Walk/Run to End Genocide.
